Formula 1 official tyre supplier Pirelli have officially confirmed that the last two events of the 2022 Formula 1 season (the Brazilian Grand Prix and the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix) will feature different tyre compound selections.
The weekend at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace will take place based on the Sprint format, as the Italian tyre manufacturer will bring the C2-C3-C4 middle of the range compounds for the Sprint race weekend at Interlagos, the 4.309 km (2.677 mi) motorsport circuit located in the city of Sao Paulo.
The C2 will be the white-walled Hard tyre, C3 the yellow Medium with the C4 Soft sporting the red sidewalls.
For the last race of the current championship, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Pirelli has confirmed that it will bring the softest possible combination given the track characteristics of the 5.281-kilometre Yas Marina Circuit – namely the C3-C4-C5.

The C3 therefore becomes the Hard, C4 the Medium and the C5 the Soft for the last round of the 2022 Formula One campaign.
During the current championship, F1 tyre supplier Pirelli have decided to use the C2-C3-C4 range nine times, as the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tyre specification brings the total for the softest possible combination to six times, mostly on street circuits like Monte Carlo, Canada and Singapore.
