The Mexican GP will remain part of the Formula 1 calendar for at least three more years. Formula One officially announced the renewal of the Mexican round during a press conference held in Mexico City. Among those present was the head of the F1 Circus, Italian Stefano Domenicali.
Mexico stays on the F1 calendar beyond 2025. The Mexican round, whose current deal was set to expire this year, has announced the extension of its agreement with Formula 1. In an official statement released alongside the press conference, F1 confirmed that the Mexico City weekend will continue through the 2026, 2027, and 2028 seasons.

“We’re truly pleased to announce that the Mexican Grand Prix will continue to be part of our calendar until 2028,” stated Stefano Domenicali. The CEO of the premier motorsport championship added: “F1 is about passion, energy, and emotion. Every year, fans in Mexico create a unique atmosphere—one of the most vibrant on the entire world championship calendar.”
Stefano Domenicali then took the opportunity to thank all the key figures involved in the renewal negotiations for the Mexican Grand Prix. “I want to extend my sincere thanks to President Claudia Sheinbaum for her strong commitment to Formula 1. I also want to thank Government Head Carla Brugada for her continued support, and Alejandro Soberon Kuri, whose leadership has been vital to the event’s success. A big thank you as well to the local stakeholders who share our vision and make this event so special.”
