Official livery unveiled for 2024 F1 Las Vegas GP, but did we really need it?

The official livery for the F1 Las Vegas GP has been unveiled through a video on the event’s social channels. While it was a surprise presentation, it has left fans perplexed. Without further explanations from the promoter, what would be the purpose of this livery? There are also references to refunds for the (disastrous) Free Practices of 2023, which saw the session extend into the late night after Carlos Sainz’s accident.

In Formula 1, it’s presentation time, yet it seems that events are managing to overshadow them. First, Lewis Hamilton’s signing with Ferrari, then the “sexgate” involving Christian Horner and Red Bull. There is no moment of respite while waiting to see the race cars of the F1 big names on track for the first time.

In this barrage of news, late into the European night, the Las Vegas GP unveiled its livery for the 2024 show car. A single post on social media, without much fanfare, practically passed unnoticed, also due to the late hour for the Old Continent. This suggests that, indeed, it was a move dedicated to the American audience.

Formula 1 loves America, especially the United States, yet this love doesn’t always seem reciprocated. After all, it becomes challenging to trust someone who seduces you with sweet words and then dismisses one of the greatest names in the American motorsport scene. However, the numbers of the Circus in the USA justify a good amount of attention dedicated to fans across the Atlantic.
