The photo has already gone around the world. Lewis Hamilton posed in front of Enzo Ferrari’s house during the first stop of a long series of meetings that will complete the agenda for his first days as a Ferrari driver.
“There are days you will remember forever. This is one of them,” wrote the seven-time world champion in the caption accompanying the first photo in Maranello. A snapshot that quickly sparked the enthusiasm of those Tifosi who can’t wait to see him on the track.
To see that, however, we will have to wait a few more days, as Ferrari itself confirmed. Wednesday could likely be the day to see Lewis Hamilton behind the wheel of one of the Scuderia’s cars, although much will depend on the weather.
The schedule for the next few days
In an official statement, Ferrari explained what Lewis Hamilton’s schedule for the upcoming days will be. “After the photos, Lewis briefly visited the pit box and the Fiorano house with Benedetto Vigna and Frederic Vasseur, also seeing the historic office where Enzo Ferrari observed his team’s work.”
“Lewis Hamilton then returned to the Scuderia headquarters where he met the management and Piero Ferrari before immersing himself in a deep dive into the various departments, which will continue in the afternoon and allow him to begin getting to know his new team.”
“Tomorrow, another workday awaits him, filled with technical meetings and briefings in preparation for what promises to be an intense season,” the statement from Ferrari reads.
