Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur has spoken about one of the flaws that might have limited him in his long career in Formula 1.
Frederic Vasseur’s story within Formula 1 and the racing world is one of many years. From successes in lower categories to many talents launched in the series, the Ferrari Team Principal is one of the most respected and esteemed figures in the world of Formula 1.
Despite this, the successes achieved in the top category of motorsport have been rather few so far. The teams he led before arriving at Maranello were certainly not the strongest on the grid, and this has undoubtedly impacted the results. According to the French engineer, however, there is also another reason behind all this. “My wife often tells me that one of my flaws is that I focus too much on negative things, and I trust her,” Frederic Vasseur told The New York Times. “It’s part of my professional ethic; I always try to understand what can be improved to fill our gaps.”
“Sometimes my wife tells me I should acknowledge the good things being done. Let’s say I’m not the best at this,” continued the Team Principal of the Prancing Horse. “If there is something that can be done differently, I always try to find a solution to be faster and better react to various situations.” – the French manager concluded.
