One of the hot topics during the last few days certainly concerns the future of Mick Schumacher in Formula 1. According to rumors circulating in the paddock, the German is about to leave Haas and Ferrari to join Alpine with a contract as an official driver for the 2023 season. There is a lot of support from many insiders, but the one who expressed himself in favour of this idea the most is Esteban Ocon, who would welcome the Kaiser’s son with open arms.
Mick Schumacher took part in Thursday’s press conference in Zandvoort and was of course asked about his future with the Ferrari Driver Academy, but diplomatically managed to avoid the questions from the media:
“I can say that I will race this weekend and the following one,” said Mick. And I’m also hoping for Singapore, Suzuka and all the other races to come this year, so I’m happy at the moment. I only think about the fact that the car can be strong here with the hope of scoring points. I will not speak publicly about what we discussed with Ferrari, it is something we have said in private and I prefer not to reveal anything. These are contractual matters, I cannot go into details in any way”.
Will you still be in Formula 1 next year? ” I hope so!” – Mick Schumacher replied, as the dodged every single question in his Sky Germany interview about his contract negotiations. He did not give a single answer related to the questions and had a big smile throughout the interview.
