After the Benetton, now one of the cars that made Formula 1 history—and Ferrari history—will go up for auction: the 1997 Ferrari F310 B driven by Michael Schumacher. RM Sotheby’s, the company handling the sale, confirmed that the car features a chassis that was used only during qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps before Schumacher switched to a different chassis.
When the auction will take place
The car was sold by Ferrari in 1999 and has since been driven on several occasions, including at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrating the 50th birthday of the seven-time world champion. Now, the F310 B returns to the auction block, which is scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, in Paris. According to preliminary estimates from RM Sotheby’s, this iconic car is expected to sell for between €5.5 million and €7.5 million.
