The start of the 2022 Formula 1 season has certified a change of power in the world of the sport. For the first time since 2014, when the hybrid era of the series began, Ferrari has the fastest car on the grid. Two victories in three races and absolute supremacy in the drivers and constructors standings certify the excellent work carried out by the Maranello team in preparation for this season.
Ferrari’s main target was focusing on the 2022 Formula 1 season since the early stages of the previous championship with the hope of taking advantage of the new rules and regulation. The expectations of Mattia Binotto and his team were confirmed by the results of the track, in particular by a very fast Charles Leclerc, capable of taking home 71 of the 78 points available in the championship so far. An almost perfect start.
Surprisingly, however, Mercedes is still behind the Prancing Horse, despite the fact that the W13 is not currently the second best car on the track. Red Bull, which at the moment is the only one able to approach Ferrari in terms of performance, is in fact paying for a poor reliability that risks jeopardizing the title race from now on. In the meantime, Mercedes seems to have taken the uphill start of this championship well, probably also for having managed to limit the damage and for the fact that their bitter rivals Red Bull are behind. Thus Mercedes sent a congratulation message in the direction of Maranello on their official Twitter account and Ferrari did not hesitate to respond, inviting Mercedes to join the fight for the 2022 Formula 1 titles:
