Max Verstappen has spoken about who he expects to see at the front in 2026, and no, it’s not Ferrari.
Nicolas Todt has mentioned it as well. Many drivers are eager to understand the level of the various cars to make informed decisions about their future. Max Verstappen is certainly among them, as in 2026 he will start evaluating his options, including Aston Martin, Mercedes, and the tempting prospect of Ferrari, which would once again excite the Tifosi.
The four-time world champion, after months of speculation and alleged negotiations, has decided to remain with Red Bull next year. This choice is partly dictated by his long-term contract and partly by the desire to be in a position to make the best possible decision.
Max’s prediction for 2026
Speaking about the potential grid hierarchy in 2026, Max Verstappen revealed which car he thinks will be the one to beat. “Predicting is difficult. But I think Mercedes will definitely be ahead. They are always at the front and have consistently had very strong cars. They are a top-tier organization, and for this reason I believe we will see them fighting for the top positions, especially considering the importance of the engine,” said the Dutch driver. “As for us, we will do our best to be there in the fight, but it won’t be easy,” Max Verstappen added.
