In an interview for RTL ahead of the 2020 British Grand Prix, Mattia Binotto said that despite John Elkann’s words (that Ferrari won’t win until 2022), they will try everything and work hard to win before that.
Mattia Binotto also confirmed: “I am not the technical director anymore, I am only the team principal now.” – He said that they are looking for people outside of Scuderia Ferrari and that they are not looking at the nationality but they have to find the right people.
Mattia Binotto also said that they don’t give “different cars” to their drivers (both are treated equally), Ferrari wants both cars to do well and get points.
He said that they are really sorry for Sebastian Vettel having the issues he faced this weekend.
There have been talks in Italian media that Ferrari would bring new parts during the filming day on Wednesday: “That’s not correct! The only purpose is to do a filming day.”
