Marc Gene gives verdict on Ferrari updates and expectations for 2023 F1 Austrian GP

“Of course, we always try to bring updates. We brought updates to Barcelona, optimized them in Canada. Taking advantage of the filming day, we tried other things. “Last year, we won with better tire degradation. We are working on it a lot. In Canada, for the first time, we got closer to the others, and that’s already a lot. It’s a track that historically Ferrari likes. Unfortunately, this Red Bull is so perfect, and also Max Verstappen, so it is clear that they remain the favorites. There will be a day when they make mistakes, and we have to be good at taking advantage of it.” – he pointed out.

“From this race onwards, last year they fixed the tire degradation and didn’t show any weaknesses anymore. This year will be less hot than last year, there will be some rain, so we will talk less about this aspect. Here, DRS matters a lot, overtaking is easy. We have always seen spectacular races. Charles and Max passed each other three times last year. There are only ten corners, and it’s done in just over a minute.
