Even though Ferrari is performing well in terms of speed, the battle for second place is not guaranteed. On paper, the circuit favors Mercedes. In fact, looking at the statistics of the Abu Dhabi GP, the Brackley-based team has often been dominant, thanks to Lewis Hamilton.

Nevertheless, Marc Gené wants to remain positive. “We have this opportunity. I believe the track won’t favor Ferrari or Mercedes; it’s just my feeling. In the past, Mercedes has done a great job in Abu Dhabi. But this could be our chance.”
According to the former Spanish driver, nothing is certain at Yas Marina. The battle between Ferrari and Mercedes will be “quite interesting,” he concluded.
