In 2026, Formula 1 will discover a new circuit, this time in Europe, unlike the latest additions to the world championship calendar which have all been located in North America or Asia. In fact, the Madrid circuit, officially renamed Madring, will become part of the world championship program. There is a lot of curiosity about this track, with some already critical of yet another street circuit in modern F1, while others are at least willing to give the new Iberian circuit the benefit of the doubt, waiting for the first GP to take place there before making a judgment.
In the meantime, the capital’s track is already making headlines on its social media channels by gradually revealing different sections of the layout. So far, the presentation has reached Turn 12, which is generating the most discussion online. The corner, introduced by the organizers themselves as one of the “emblems” of the new Madring, has extreme features.
🔴 Today, we reveal one of MADRING’s emblems for the first time.

It is in fact a section of the track over half a kilometer long—547.82 meters to be exact, on a circuit that measures almost 5.5 km in total—12 meters wide and with a 24% incline. The Madrid corner has rightly been named Monumental. A name that seems well-suited.
A video rendering also shared by the official circuit channel visually shows the scale of this parabolic curve, which will be topped by a grandstand capable of holding 45,000 spectators—the size of a mid-sized football stadium. It will be interesting to see whether this section truly becomes one of the new symbols of this ever-evolving Formula 1.
