Luca di Montezemolo alleged investment in Aston Martin is not true

In recent days, several international sources had reported a substantial investment (around 4 million dollars) made by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo to acquire shares in Aston Martin. Having assumed the role of President in 1991, Luca di Montezemolo played a pivotal role in Ferrari’s triumphs. In 2004, he ascended to the position of Chairman, solidifying his influence within the company.

However, his tenure at the Italian brand concluded in 2014, when he stepped down as President, four years after relinquishing the Chairmanship to John Elkann.

Did Luca Montezemolo invest in Aston Martin? The denial arrives

The “bombshell” about Luca Cordero di Montezemolo’s alleged investment in Aston Martin was launched, highlighting the fact that many individuals with recent ties to Ferrari now form part of the Silverstone team. One example is the former team principal of the Prancing Horse, Marco Mattiacci, who is currently the commercial director of the British brand. However, despite this and the friendship between Montezemolo and Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll, the news has proven to be completely false. The person directly involved denied it when reached by the microphones of the Italian website Fanpage.it.

“When directly asked about his entry among Lawrence Stroll’s partners, he responded with a ‘False! I don’t have any shares or stake!'” reads the well-known portal. Today, another reputable outlet, Racingnews365, also reported that the news is unfounded. Despite the links between the two individuals, there is no indication that Luca di Montezemolo has made any investment in Lawrence Stroll’s company, as per information obtained by RacingNews365. During their partnership with Ferrari, Lawrence Stroll was an investor in the fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger.
