China GP LIVE – Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton seek a repeat in Shanghai in F1, follow our Live Coverage. After the extraordinary victory of the seven-time world champion in the “Saturday race,” it’s already time to get back on track. McLaren takes the pole position with Oscar Piastri, challenged by George Russell, who takes the front row from a somewhat unsettled Lando Norris.
A masterpiece in tire management: this sums up Lewis Hamilton’s victory in the Shanghai Sprint Race. The Briton carefully manages the tires on his SF-25, which is balanced and very gentle on the Pirelli tires. A sign that the Scuderia Ferrari car has immense potential, perhaps still unexplored. And although qualifying places it in the third row, nothing is truly lost.
With the right race pace, climbing up the standings won’t be impossible. Lando Norris, the first title rival, is already within reach of the two Ferrari drivers, along with Max Verstappen. The other McLaren, Oscar Piastri’s, could attempt a breakaway, unless challenged by Mercedes. But what is expected is an open race, where tire degradation will play a key role in the victory.
