Lewis Hamilton had announced it: during the Brazilian GP, he will race with a helmet dedicated to the memory of Ayrton Senna. He had already mentioned it a few days ago on his social channels, even making a small gaffe. In fact, Hamilton had said he wanted to wear Brazilian colors on his Ferrari for the first time—a feat already achieved by Felipe Massa and Rubens Barrichello.

But Lewis Hamilton’s tribute will be special: his idol since childhood, he has always had a special bond with Ayrton. Who could forget when, during the 2017 Canadian GP, Lewis was gifted the helmet that the Brazilian driver had worn throughout his career?

While waiting for a social post with a full photo gallery, the first image of the helmet Hamilton will use to honor Senna at the Brazil GP has arrived. These are certainly special emotions for the Englishman, as it is his first Brazilian race with Ferrari. A milestone Ayrton never experienced due to his premature passing. This year, Lewis Hamilton will have a different connection with the Brazilian weekend because he has realized the dream of driving the red car.

Perhaps with these new colors, and on a track where Hamilton has always performed well, he will achieve the dream of reaching the podium for the first time in Ferrari colors. And it would be even more special to do it in Ayrton’s homeland. It is certain that Lewis Hamilton will have extra motivation during this weekend.
