Charles Leclerc is aiming for the podium with Ferrari in Brazil: the team has prepared as best as possible
The Interlagos weekend kicks off with the first day dedicated to the only practice session, followed by the Sprint race qualifying. Ferrari arrives after two consecutive podiums, and Charles Leclerc wants to continue this trend here in Brazil. The track is highly favored by the Monegasque, who seeks to overturn past results.
The weather will be uncertain for all drivers and teams, but it will also be a major opportunity for those who can take advantage of it. The rain variable will be difficult to predict, and teams will face a big challenge in setting up the car optimally for the entire weekend.
Charles Leclerc and the goal in São Paulo
Speaking at the Brazilian GP press conference, Charles Leclerc discussed Ferrari’s positive moment and confirmed his intention to continue this streak of results: “Can I repeat the performance from Mexico? I hope so. Again, the momentum is on our side. We did well in the last two races, which is positive.” The Monegasque then admitted: “But we really can’t rely on the past to achieve good results in the future.”
“This weekend we have to start from zero, focusing step by step on what we can control and trying to make our processes as perfect as possible. Then we’ll see where we end up,” added Charles. Wet races haven’t particularly favored Ferrari recently, so it will be important to see how the weekend’s forecasts evolve.
The São Paulo round will also be crucial in the fight with direct rivals for second place in the constructors’ standings: “I don’t know if the others will struggle more than expected. There are obviously many things I cannot control and don’t want to waste my energy thinking and predicting. We will focus only on what we need to do. We have done our homework to be as ready as possible for this weekend. And I hope this will finally be the weekend I get back on the podium here in Brazil,” the Ferrari driver concluded.
