Lewis Hamilton and the SF-25: no feeling
On the eve of the tenth race of the 2025 Formula 1 season, Lewis Hamilton’s remarks about his adaptation to the Ferrari SF-25 have become increasingly clear, in line with what he has stated throughout the first part of the championship.
The results speak for themselves: so far, he has yet to score a single podium (his best result being fourth place in Imola), he has never qualified in the front two rows (his best being fifth, achieved three times), and he sits sixth in the standings, 23 points behind Charles Leclerc and 115 behind leader Oscar Piastri.
Lewis Hamilton’s honesty
It’s undoubtedly a difficult moment for the 40-year-old British champion, and his extreme honesty in front of the cameras after each session is noteworthy.
In a sport often filtered through press offices and filled with carefully curated statements, Hamilton stands out for how openly he speaks into the microphones, without barriers.
After qualifying fifth for the Canadian Grand Prix, he once again summarised his evident difficulties with the Ferrari SF-25 during an interview with Sky UK: “I don’t feel in sync with the car, and it’s been that way all year. I don’t know if I’ll ever feel in sync with it this season. This car is like someone who can’t dance, someone with no sense of rhythm. It’s like trying to make someone have rhythm when they just don’t. It’s very, very difficult. That’s what it feels like with this car.”
