After the last race in Saudi Arabia, Lewis Hamilton appeared somewhat disheartened by not yet being able to find the right feeling at the wheel of the Ferrari SF-25. However, the British champion does not intend to throw in the towel and will do everything, together with a team that fully supports him – as it should – to deliver better performances, in line with his expectations, those of the team, and of the fans. The next stop is Miami, where Ferrari will run a special livery to celebrate its partnership with American company HP, and the weekend will feature the Sprint format.
Lewis Hamilton sets the goal
In the only Sprint so far in this 2025 Formula 1 season, in China, Lewis Hamilton claimed a brilliant pole position in the Friday Shootout qualifying session and went on to win the short race on Saturday morning. However, the British superstar was unable to repeat that in qualifying and the main race, finishing fifth and sixth respectively, before being disqualified for excessive wear on the car’s floor.
“You’re only happy if you win, so if we could replicate the last Sprint, it would be fantastic,” he told journalists at the unveiling of Ferrari’s special Miami livery, adding: “We learned a lot from Friday to Saturday in the last Sprint, and Saturday and Sunday weren’t spectacular. So we’re trying to implement those changes for this weekend to see if we can get better results.” – the seven-time Formula 1 world champion pointed out.
The fans’ love
As has now become routine, Lewis Hamilton is swarmed by the love of Ferrari fans at every event: “Every race weekend is an incredible feeling for me because it’s my first year at Ferrari. This is a unique experience, I’m racing for an incredible team, such an iconic team, with so much passion. We travel to so many different places and see the support of the fans. And the people who have supported me have brought their support to Ferrari, and that’s really great.” – the British driver concluded.
