Lewis Hamilton on new adventure with Ferrari: “Real risk is staying in the comfort zone”. Lewis Hamilton revealed the reasoning behind his decision to embark on this new adventure..

Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari 2025

Wednesday, January 22, 2025, will go down in history, as the most successful driver in F1 tried the car of the most successful team for the first time. A day that attracted many fans from all over Italy and beyond, with countless supporters who had waited a year to see the seven-time world champion. With the new venture now underway, Lewis Hamilton spoke about what motivated him to move to Ferrari.

Lewis Hamilton has always known when and how to embrace new challenges in his career, and his recent switch to Ferrari from Mercedes is a prime example. In a recent interview, the seven-time world champion shared his perspective on change and how to tackle it.

“Every new opportunity is a leap into the unknown,” Lewis Hamilton explained. “None of us can predict the future, so changing jobs—or in my case, teams—always involves a certain level of risk. But I believe it’s riskier to stay where you feel comfortable and risk becoming complacent.”

The British driver discussed how this decision stemmed from a strong personal intuition: “Call it instinct or a gut feeling, but I knew signing with Ferrari was the right choice for me and would give me the challenge I needed. There are so many incredible people in the team whom I can’t wait to work with, and I have complete confidence that together we will achieve great results.”

Lewis Hamilton’s journey serves as an example of how facing change isn’t just about calculated risk but also about the determination to keep improving. For him, every Formula 1 season represents a new opportunity for growth: “I see each season as a new chapter. Even in the years when I’ve won races, trophies, and championships, I knew nothing was guaranteed for the following season. My approach is to work hard every day to ensure that, when I get back in the car, I’m not just as good as the year before but even better.”

Lewis Hamilton credits his success to this mindset of continuous progress, which he considers essential for pushing boundaries and achieving extraordinary results. His message is clear: whether it’s changing teams, jobs, or taking on a new personal challenge, the key is to follow your instincts, avoid stagnation, and maintain a focus on constant improvement.
