F1 | After weeks of silence, Lewis Hamilton reveals Ferrari’s real problems – Qatar GP
After qualifying for the Qatar Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton spoke candidly about the issues that have held back Ferrari so far this season. In recent weeks, much of the criticism aimed at Lewis Hamilton focused on his lack of detailed comments in interviews. Following yet another challenging qualifying session at Lusail, the seven-time world champion decided to clarify the limitations of the SF-25, which remains winless this year.
Hamilton addresses Ferrari’s struggles
The former Mercedes driver, visibly disappointed during media interviews, listed the factors preventing him from achieving the performance level he desires and has consistently delivered throughout his career. “We simply don’t have stability at any level. When I say this, I mean the rear isn’t planted like it should be, so it slides and snaps a lot. Then we have bouncing. In corners like Turn 10, you start hopping,” Lewis Hamilton explained.
He continued, “We suffer from understeer mid-corner, and if you try to correct it, you lose control. The car also behaves differently at high, medium, and low speeds. You can’t even imagine what kind of battle it is every single lap.” – the British driver pointed out at the end of the qualifying session for the 2025 Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton made these remarks following his eighteenth-place finish on Saturday at Lusail, highlighting the ongoing challenges he and Ferrari face with the SF-25 single-seater.
With only two races left in what was supposed to be the start of a fairy-tale chapter at Maranello, Lewis Hamilton’s words underline just how deep Ferrari’s problems run in 2025 – and how far away they are from giving him a car capable of fighting at the front.
