Lewis Hamilton demands answers from race engineer Riccardo Adami amid Las Vegas GP frustration. Lewis Hamilton vents fury on Ferrari team radio after finishing P10 in the 2025 Las Vegas GP.

F1 | Hamilton furious on the radio against his engineer – Las Vegas GP

Hamilton furious over the radio: “How is it possible that we are tenth?” Ferrari tries to explain the collapse in the final stages. The Las Vegas Grand Prix ended with a Ferrari team radio that says more than any analysis: Lewis Hamilton’s messages, stunned after crossing the finish line in only tenth place at the end of a chaotic race full of unlucky moments and marked by a sudden drop in performance in the second stint. It is in these radio exchanges, and in the replies from his engineer Riccardo Adami, that the full frustration of the seven-time world champion emerges, along with his doubts over a strategy that simply did not work.

Hamilton vents on the team radio after the Las Vegas GP

As soon as he crossed the line, Lewis Hamilton could not hide his shock:

“What happened with the strategy? How is it possible that we ended up tenth? At one point it seemed like everything was going well…”

His voice sounded incredulous, almost confused — a sign of a race that had been going his way until halfway through. Riccardo Adami, calm but clearly aware of the situation, tried to explain the sudden drop in performance.

Hamilton asks about the Mercedes: “How is it possible they got up there?”

As the team radio continued, Lewis Hamilton focused on another aspect that left him puzzled: the recovery of the two Mercedes cars. Earlier in the race he had them behind, yet they finished well ahead.

“How is it possible that they got up there?”

Riccardo Adami replied immediately, pointing to the key strategic factor:

Ferrari F1 merchandise

“They pitted early on lap three, fitted the hard, and went to the end. The hard was clearly the best tyre today.”

This detail highlights the difference in approach: those who committed early to the hard compound managed the degradation better and built a consistent race. Those who tried to extend the first stint were overwhelmed by the performance drop.

I feel so sorry for Lewis Hamilton. Let’s face he’s a black man in the wrong sport. They F1 is never going to let a black man get pass Micheal Schumacher he’s German, German car, keeping it in the family so to speak i just hope lewis Hamilton makes a documentary on this whole saga can’t the whole world see this look what what happened when he was at Mercedes. They robbed him live on tv and got away with it, and they have the cheek to say racism doesn’t belong here.

Jesus you’re clutching at straws here. He is one of the most decorated F1 drivers of all time, has raced for a top team for over a decade, holds so many world records in the sport but because he is having a poor season you pull the race card and say it’s because he’s black. More than likely it’s due to him getting older, his reflexes not being what they once were, his start at a new team and being in a car that isn’t designed around him. Stop trying to use racism as an excuse for him having a poor year

What utter rubbish. Lewis is a first class engineer at handling race cars. He has shown that year after year.
Ferrari have no brain, no plan, it is just a mixed up hit and miss strategy they use. Too much money and Italians can never be wrong. well I think both Charles and Lewis who are very good at their sports know better than you

Bernie E sussed Ferrari out a few years ago, no Brits on board, no Germans on board, only the 1 Frenchman…
So, team full of Italians, something goes wrong, they don’t sit down and work it out, they just stand there waving their arms about and blaming each other!

Absolutely there’s no room for racism. And for those who use it as a way to pull the wool it’s worse than racism. It’s used at every point where the individuals don’t get their way or under perform

I agree but I think it’s a lot to do with Ferrari being stuck up their own bum and not having the common sense to listed to Lewis. If they did they might even win a few races!!!

Of course it racism, he hasn’t lost his reflexes, he should of had ten championships by now, but no one in f1 wants that because he’s black.
Rite through history the white man has down played the black man.
So what sport have you played white boy, have you got a good record in the game or what, or arm chair critic.
Which race appears most in all sports.
So of course it’s racism against Lewis.

Yepp One season can’t completely define a man’s performance. Everyone has some ups and blows along the way. Even Schumacher didn’t win the first when he was at ferrari. I don’t know why people judge Hamilton because he is failing.

Accept it or not he has achieved more than anyone could. He stands as one of the greatest.

The Italians are notoriously racist. They are Trumps biggest supporters in Amerikkka and Canada. It was a WOP Italians Massa that sabotage him Abu Dhabi denying him his 8th Title and immortality over these White SUPREMACIST devils. He is still the GOAT. So you chose to denounce racist people by using racist language yourself? That doesn’t make sense. I agree with you that Lewis Hamilton has had some straight up racism directed at him, in spite of him being a seven time WDC. Lewis is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest driver that has ever turned a wheel at a Grands Prix.

When I heard Lewis had signed with Ferrari, I just wondered what he was thinking. Ferrari hasn’t been good for a long time. The car isn’t any good and the strategy is even worse. And even the best driver in the world cannot drive around all that.

I have to admit that when Lewis won the British GP I got a bit teary eyed. I was very happy for him. He hadn’t won in a while. So when he hoisted the British flag, I got a bit emotional, and I’m just a lowly American. All this being said….Alonso is my favorite. Another great driver stuck in a pastry cart. And Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it..

Lewis problem was leaving Mercedes for Ferrari thinking Ferrari would have a better car over Mercedes, Ferrari hasn’t had a decent car in year’s and has showed yet again this year. Ferrari are not the power house they once where and lag behind the top teams in competitiveness, there engineers are shocking bad for brand like Ferrari. They have such an experienced driver in Lewis one of the greats in f1 history, the engineers should be listening to him what he needs from the car, or they are just ignoring him completely on how he wants his car set up to win races.

Dont bring racisim into this he himself lewis never mentioned this.
He fought towards discrimination as he was famous so if any corner still it exists it can be changed.
In f1 most of them recognised him and respected him and his tallent.
Coming to ferrari car what ch lecrec able to do he was talented and good driber than verstappen what he able to do when car is not upto the limit.
Coming to verstappen when he is in front either you need to crash into him or he will crash into you but he wont give the position he is utter worse than Schumacher. Arrogant driver.

Why not bring Racism into it. You are Indian. You should not about racism since you invented racism and caste system. Are you related to Vivek RamaSwami. See no anti black racism in order to suck up to White people eh Mr. COCONUT?

Neither racism nor caste systems were invented by Indians, if I recall correctly. I can say with my whole chest that Mr. Varma didn’t invent those things, either. Europeans invented racism as a way to justify colonisation. You may remember that Europeans, the Portuguese and the British specifically, colonised India, where they enslaved Indians. Indians enslaved other Indians, too…The losers of wars, poor people, as payment for debts, etc. My opinion, from my privileged existence, is that white people caused and are still causing most of the problems in this world. But you’re angry with the wrong people.

When is everyone going to realise? Adami is just not up to the job. He’s rubbish and clueless when it comes to strategy. Yes, the car isn’t the best, but these poor performances are clearly as a direct result of his bizarre decisions and instructions. Someone is protecting him and keeping him in the job despite his obvious incompetence. I wonder who?……Who fought hard NOT to let Lewis join the team?…..

Zanick hit the nail on the head. Lewis needs a new engineer, period. When you’re fighting to be the best, the team must gel and the communication must be clear, on point, precise and understandable. A well oiled machine. Oil and water is the mix right now.

Agree with Zanick. Sir Lewis Hamilton needs a new engineer. He needs to be listened too, along with Charles. They are the ones driving the car. Didn’t he produce a report for the team with suggestions? Bet that was ignored. As for the excuse of him getting old and slow, what’s his qualifying gap to Charles? Better than expected for a driver in a new team against a veteran of that team. As for racism, it’s there but disguised. I look forward to his memoirs after retirement!

Zanick hit the nail on the head. Lewis needs a new engineer, period. I am amazed that he’s doing as well as he is with the strategic blunders and horrible communication. These are the best teams in the word and to perform to their potential, even with a less than ideal car, must operate extremely tight, like a well oiled machine. What we see here is oil and water.

Despite all the accolades Lewis has and call it what you may, the powers that be will always find an excuse to deny him to reach or beat the record. Even at Mercedes Lewis faced disappointment with an inferior car, while his fellow team mate excelled on all quarters, even presently the Mercedes of George and Kimi has vastly improved and has excellent pace, makes you wonder if it really is a team sport…. In addition to that, the constant unfair practice by FIA Stewards nit picking on technicalities and finding fault with many of Lewis and his teams actions, even while other drivers/teams do similar but their punishment gets overlooked and not contested by either Team Principal, Race Enginee or Team CEO’s. As much as I love Motorsports, close, friendly and competitive races are the order of the day and my cup of tea, other than F1 driver Ayrton Senna, rally drivers Bjorn Waaldegard, Timo Makinen and Fred Henderson, Lewis will always be my favourite driver. In my opinion if Lewis were to leave Ferrari he’d be better suited with a British Team or one that’s eager to win Pole, a Race, a Constructors title or a Championship.🏁🏆

He won the very first sprint race this year so age is not catching up to him as everyone thinks. Verstappen made the most of a bad car most of this season cause he had the backing of his entire team. Hamilton was always on a worse strategy this season. How can a top team screw up so frequently is beyond my understanding. I don’t think this has anything to do with racism. Leclerc didn’t do that well either this year. Just a bunch of stubborn egoistical people refusing to cone to terms with reality.

I’ve seen this time and time again, its the people around you that make up a champion team, its obvious that there is people who feel some type of way about Lewis Being in the hunt too win that many championships, Vessatafan is a crash test dumbazz, anything and anyway to the top , but that’s who the want to be next after shumaker,so you really have to see the picture for what it really is, A bunch of Ya’ll comments are dead on point and then you have the blinded fools up in here as well, I kinda lost hope after a few races and with good cause , dam Ferrari Sucks ass and its definitely not the driver ,if someone is telling you something isn’t working why the hell don’t they listen to the man , it pains me to see the him race weekly and not even be in the top 10 or top 5 but I don’t think he’s washed up at all folks ,let’s pray for a better season next year
