The last four races
Ferrari’s 2025 season did not go as the team or Lewis Hamilton had hoped. The seven-time Formula 1 world champion certainly did not expect to spend 21 Grands Prix dressed in red without ever enjoying the satisfaction of stepping onto the podium.
Objectives for the finale
“We are not fighting for the championship, so right now our task is to try to achieve the best results and do our best for the Constructors’ Championship,” Lewis Hamilton said during the traditional Thursday interviews in Brazil. “The position in the Drivers’ Championship doesn’t matter to anyone. I don’t care about being fifth or sixth or anything like that; it’s more about keeping second place in the Constructors’ Championship for the team.” – the British driver pointed out.
Reflection on 2025 and looking ahead to 2026
The British driver then shared his thoughts on this year with an eye toward 2026: “This has been a difficult year, but honestly I expected it. I am joining a new team with a new culture, and I am well aware that progress takes time. So this year is dedicated to building the foundations, and it has been challenging, but I feel we are making progress, and I feel that this is putting me in a good position for next year, and that is the most important thing,” Lewis Hamilton concluded ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
