The anticipation for the Lewis Hamilton’s move to Scuderia Ferrari is high among fans as well as among professionals. However, while waiting for the 2025 Formula 1 season, there is still a championship of which only a sixth has been completed. As it should be, Lewis Hamilton appeared annoyed by a question about his future at Ferrari directed to him after another disappointing Grand Prix in Japan.
The seven-time world champion crossed the finish line in ninth place in a race where Mercedes was anything but strategically perfect, and less competitive compared to rivals.
The choice to start with the hard tire after the red flag proved to be wrong and compromised all hopes of achieving a good result. The attempt to recover from a horrendous first stint brought nothing more than the two points for P9.
Therefore, Lewis Hamilton’s mood after the race certainly couldn’t have been the happiest. The media session was not made easier by a question that, understandably, didn’t sit well with the British driver.
A journalist highlighted Ferrari’s performances, which were significantly better than Mercedes’. “Aren’t you eager to be with them [Ferrari]? Since they’re faster?” was the journalist’s query.
“No better questions?” was Lewis Hamilton’s tough response, after which he left the interview ring.
This incident with Lewis Hamilton was not the only surprising question to one of the weekend’s protagonists. Even James Vowles, former Mercedes and now Team Principal of Williams, had to face one on Friday after Logan Sargeant’s incident.
