It is the third set in the Icons line dedicated to the most successful single-seaters in Formula 1 history, and it will be available starting from 1 March.
Schumacher’s Ferrari F1 goes Lego
Bringing home (another) piece of Formula 1 history, but this time built with Lego bricks. After the McLaren MP4/4 of Ayrton Senna and the Williams FW14/B of Nigel Mansell, the Icons single-seater series continues with an extremely successful car that wrote unforgettable chapters in the history of motorsport.
After months of rumours, speculation and fan-made images created with artificial intelligence, Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari F2004 is now officially arriving on the shelves of both physical and online toy stores, and will be available from 1 March 2026.
The commercial featuring Mick
Lego made the launch official through its social media channels, releasing a video featuring a special appearance by Mick Schumacher, recalling the achievements of his father Michael:
“My earliest memories of my father racing are of him winning with a Ferrari. My dad and that car were working together, trying to reach 100% perfection. With the V10 engine, the new rear suspension, the refined aerodynamics… that car was a beast, and my dad could tame it. He became one with that single-seater; it gave him the confidence to push it to the limit without going beyond it. And now that I am also a racing driver, I understand how rare it is to find the right combination of instinct and engineering, with the power to leave a mark in history.”
The video features Mick Schumacher’s voice promoting the launch of his father Michael’s Ferrari F2004.
A piece of Formula 1 history
Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari thus continues the Lego series of Formula 1 cars that have written the history of racing, becoming one of the most dominant cars ever seen in the sport. The Ferrari F2004 made its debut at the 2004 Australian Grand Prix and allowed the “Kaiser” to win 13 races out of the 18 on that season’s calendar.
A further two victories were secured by team-mate Rubens Barrichello, with a total of eight one-two finishes, while Michael Schumacher clinched his seventh and final drivers’ world championship as early as the Hungarian Grand Prix, with several races still to go.
In fact, the Ferrari F2004 competed in a total of 20 Grands Prix, as while waiting to complete the development and design of its successor, the car also contested the first two races of the 2005 World Championship, albeit with less success.
The Lego Icons F1 Ferrari F2004 set will consist of 735 pieces, including a Michael Schumacher minifigure, and will feature the original livery complete with all the sponsors that accompanied the Scuderia Ferrari during that triumphant campaign. The set will go on sale at a price of €89.99 and is already available for pre-order on the Danish company’s official website.
