Scuderia Ferrari Finnish driver Kimi Raikkonen was one of five drivers to address the media ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix this weekend, and as usual he was on top form. Here are some of the most important quotes from Kimi Raikkonen’s press conference:

On the win in the United States: “I will bring it with me after this race. It was a good result and a good race. I had to fight for it quite a bit. Its good for us and good for everyone. We were happy and hopefully this weekend we will be strong.”

On people being happy for his win at Austin and fans’ messages from Finland: “I haven’t looked that much at the news. I am happy if people are happy. I feel good at what I am doing. Its great. Don’t think we have the biggest support from Finland but when we get it, we take it. Not many people have my number so it won’t be too direct”.

On his age and experience: “I don’t know if its helping or harming. Its working. Some experience helps that is for sure. You can do it on the simulator… We do the same tracks. We are all going to help. Its not like 10 million miles will help”.

On which team is favourite for the Mexican Grand Prix: “It’s pointless to guess who is going to be on top. If you look at the previous races it could go anyway. If he only needs three points to get the championship. Who knows. As a team we will try our best. We will work through the weekend as we usually do and we will see the end result on Sunday.”

On missing Fernando Alonso: “We had some good battles over the years. It is how it is, unfortunately and we are all going to stop at one point. There are young guys coming and the older guys going.”

On Sebastian Vettel’s mistakes in the second part of the season: “Sometimes it happens. You push and then sometimes it goes wrong. We all come through it. Its part of the game.”
