The usually quiet Scuderia Ferrari driver and World Champion, Kimi Raikkonen, is a huge fan of karaoke and will reportedly open a karaoke bar in the Katajanokka area, near the center of Helsinki, the capital of his native Finland.
According to Seitsemän Päivää -magazine the driver is now starting a karaoke joint of his own, as the establishment has been developed in secrecy to a location where one of his yachts is parked when he is not using it, at a valued classical Helsinki building. Kimi Raikkonen is said to be a karaoke regular, and YouTube footage from 2009 indeed depicts the 37-year-old singing in his native Finnish in a bar. The Scuderia Ferrari driver has already done interesting things besides his Formula 1 driving career as he entered the alcohol business back in 2015 with his Iceman branded alcoholic long drink.
The report says that work on the establishment will begin during the month of April.
Kimi Raikkonen finished last year’s drivers’ championship in sixth place for Ferrari. The Iceman was back in form in 2016, especially in qualifying and should have scored several other podium finishes, but a series of strategic errors from Ferrari, technical problems and several race incidents prevented the Finnish driver from capitalizing on the good race pace.
