A few hours ago, the Russian sponsor Kaspersky disappeared from the list of partners on the official website of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team and the page dedicated to the brand currently generates a 404 “Page not found” error.
Kaspersky, a leading company in cybersecurity, has been a long-time Ferrari sponsor, with a collaboration that began in 2010. Only a few months ago, in December 2021, Kaspersky signed a further extension of its partnership agreement with Scuderia Ferrari and a new commitment with the Ferrari Esports FDA team competing in the world Esports Series.

Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky, explained he was very happy “that this long-standing partnership with Scuderia Ferrari continues.” – the Russian cybersecurity expert and the CEO of Kaspersky Lab said at that moment – “The partnership has developed over the years beyond mere sponsorship. Our collaboration has evolved into a technical partnership: we provide the protection of the team’s data, thus contributing, from behind the scenes, to its security and success.”
As a result of Russia’s attack on Ukraine and the international sanctions in place, Ferrari seems therefore to have decided to terminate the historic collaboration even if an official statement has not yet been released. In a few hours we will see if the Kaspersky logos will also be removed from the livery of the single-seaters, from the pits and from the trucks of the Maranello team.
