Scuderia Ferrari has launched the 2022 Formula One car, with the hope and confidence of returning to the front of the grid as a championship contender for the next season. The Italian side’s new car, the F1-75, retains the team’s iconic red colours but has gone back to a more 1990s look with black front and rear wings.
During the official F1-75 launch, Scuderia Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto confirmed that the team had gone for an “innovative” approach with this year’s rule and regulation changes, which are seen as a great opportunity to start over.
The president of Ferrari, John Elkann, was also present at today’s special event. Ferrari’s Executive Chairman spoke at the end of the short presentation video, highlighting the history and tradition that Ferrari represents, but also appealing to the urgent need to achieve immediate results, starting with the 2022 Formula 1 season.

There has been no explicit mention of fighting for titles, but John Elkann used the phrase “winning ways”, a way to make it clear that the Maranello team will still have to be competitive at the highest level during the year that kicks off on March 20 in Bahrain: “Ferrari is the only team that has always been present in Formula 1. It has always been at the forefront, constantly pushing to overcome the limits for over 90 years now. The F1-75 represents the best of the innovative spirit and pursuit of performance that the team has always exemplified.” – said John Elkann.
“The responsibility of making this car achieve results and meeting the expectations of fans around the world lies in the hands of Mattia, Charles, Carlos and the whole team – continued the Ferrari president – their uninterrupted effort will determine our success, honoring that competitive spirit that our founder represented. To the fans I say: your passion and dedication fuels our performances, as it has always been. This year we can’t wait to reward your loyalty and win again ” – John Elkann concluded.
