Ferrari still on track
Since yesterday, Ferrari has been running in Barcelona with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc using the SF-23, continuing the drivers’ training ahead of the new Formula 1 season. The Monegasque was able to complete an entire morning on a dry track, following his wet debut in Fiorano.
The Briton, on the other hand, is refining his understanding of the team and the working methods of Ferrari’s personnel, a relationship that must be built from the ground up.
The brake issue
In these initial days on track, one of the key points for Hamilton was adapting to the Brembo braking system, after spending recent seasons at Mercedes with Carbon Industries discs.
From Spain’s *Marca*, an interesting rumor has emerged on this very topic: “What is known is that Lewis Hamilton’s comments after the Fiorano tests were very positive, especially regarding the solution to the braking issues experienced in 2024.”
The Spanish newspaper also highlighted how the seven-time world champion has been working on the steering wheel and pedal box, which have already undergone initial modifications to find the best driving feel.
