Italian journalist and author Umberto Zapelloni recently spoke about the possibility of Lando Norris becoming Formula 1 world champion in 2024 with the help of Scuderia Ferrari, during the Race Anatomy show on Sky.
Umberto Zapelloni’s comments
Here’s the commentator’s take on the matter: “I believe that in this final part of the championship, Ferrari could play an important role in helping Lando Norris.” – he pointed out after the solid performance of the SF-24 cars in the Dutch Grand Prix at the 4.259-kilometre Circuit Zandvoort last Sunday – “A Ferrari that promises to improve from Monza onward could take points away from Red Bull and Max Verstappen, helping Lando to catch up.” – he added.
“We take it for granted that, as of today, McLaren is the fastest car on the track because a 20-second advantage is an eternity: [at Zandvoort, editor’s note] Piastri was missing, but the car has made an impressive leap forward considering where it was last year.” – the Italian journalist continued.
“Now, the competition that could come between McLaren and Red Bull could really help Lando, so let’s expect something from Ferrari. Lando himself should hope to have Charles Leclerc by his side,” Umberto Zapelloni concluded.
