Insider Scuderia Ferrari there are some not openly expressed concerns regarding some of the aerodynamic solutions chosen for the 2022 Formula 1 project, the F1-75 car, which will be officially presented in ten days time. That is the claim of highly-respected Italian Formula 1 and Scuderia Ferrari insider Leo Turrini, who mused on his Quotidiano blog about each team’s prospects for the next championship. “I have one thing left unfinished.
As I imagine the ranking of the teams in 2022, howling at the moon with obviously fake hypotheses.
Red Bull in front (they present the car with the number one for Verstappen on 9 February).
Apart from the season finale, Red Bull in 2021 were objectively superior.
Honda, albeit in disguise, remains with Red Bull.
And Newey is a genius.
Stuck behind, Mercedes.
I know Hamilton wants Michael Masi’s head, but it doesn’t really matter.
I doubt that the team that is still world champion among the constructors will get this new project wrong. Among other things, they have already confirmed that 2022 performances are, in the simulator, at the level of 2021.
Ferrari.
I know they are convinced that they have reduced the power unit gap, even with bio fuel.
But there are not openly declared (?) doubts about the “innovative” (they say) solutions adopted for aerodynamics.
A lot of caution, but if at the first GP you are half a second above RB and Mercedes, bye mom.
I expect a lot from Aston Martin, which last season limited its investments by betting on new rules, even by grabbing technicians with a great resume.
McLaren on the same line, the post-Monza decline was a consequence of very specific team choices.
Alpha Tauri depends a lot on the residues of the Honda presence, but the close link with Red Bull can also make it possible to enhance the leftovers.
Alpine Renault boh. I see that Alonso continues to pull Pat Fry with him, not exactly exemplary in his Rossi years.
Alfa has less and less to do with the Ferrari orbit, which instead continues to exert attraction on Haas and let’s hope well for Schumi2.
I hope Williams will be more of a protagonist, even if Latifi decided the last world championship at the end of the fair.”
