Lewis Hamilton is going through one of the most challenging periods of his career at Ferrari, yet the seven-time world champion continues to demonstrate determination that goes far beyond his results on track. After another tough qualifying session, Lewis Hamilton revealed in an interview for Sky Italia that he spent an entire night awake, reflecting on every possible way to contribute to the team’s progress.
Hamilton: “I’m thinking of proposals for Ferrari”
The British driver explained that he is constantly thinking about ways to improve the car:
“I stayed awake until 6 a.m. last night. I couldn’t sleep, and I kept thinking, okay… how can I make the car better, what more can I do to support my engineers… what other changes can we implement? Now I’m answering all these difficult questions, thinking about what proposals I can bring to the team.”
Lewis Hamilton determined and refusing to give up
Lewis Hamilton’s words reveal the emotional and professional weight of a period in which results are not coming. He stressed the responsibility he feels toward the team—not only the crew on track but also everyone working tirelessly at Maranello.
“The pain I feel for the people in the garage and all those working at the factory is high. They don’t deserve everything that is happening. They deserve better results. I can only tell you that it’s certainly not due to a lack of commitment or because I’m not trying. We won’t give up and we’ll continue to push.”
Despite setbacks, the driver refuses to let himself be discouraged. His confidence in the team remains strong, fueled by a nearly obsessive, constructive approach. Lewis Hamilton confirmed that he is preparing a new technical proposal for the engineers, the result of those hours of nighttime reflection. For him, it’s not just a matter of personal performance but of contributing to a long-term project that can bring Ferrari back to its rightful positions.
For Lewis Hamilton, this isn’t just about personal performance anymore. It’s about helping lay the foundations for a Ferrari that can fight at the front again – even if the results that would justify all the sacrifice are still painfully out of reach with only two races left in 2025.
