Following the celebratory livery for the Monza race, dedicated to the historic victory achieved in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the 499P, Ferrari has chosen to present itself with a new white and red color scheme for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which returns to the calendar after a long absence.
It has been 41 years since the last time racing took place in the most famous city in the state of Nevada, when the Formula 1 cars battled it out on a circuit temporarily set up in the parking lot of the famous Caesars Palace. Liberty Media has made significant investments in this event, and the teams are aware that it can serve as a showcase for collaborations and promotional activities. Several teams have already launched activities and clothing lines dedicated to the occasion.
Just like back then, this year, the 2023 Formula One calendar includes three events in the United States: in addition to Las Vegas, Formula 1 has already visited Miami and Austin, signaling exponential growth in recent years thanks to the work done by the commercial rights holders of the championship and the popular Netflix series “Drive to Survive.” Clearly, the Las Vegas race will be held at night, starting at 10:00 PM local time, with the track winding through 6.201 kilometers, passing some of the most iconic landmarks on the famous Las Vegas Strip, such as the Bellagio, the Venetian, and Caesars Palace. The cars will race alongside the illuminated signs and fountains that make Las Vegas famous worldwide.
Scuderia Ferrari has participated in all editions of the Formula 1 World Championship and has therefore played a prominent role in the sport’s first golden era in the United States, especially from 1976 to 1984. During those years, the Scuderia wrote some of the most memorable pages in its history: Niki Lauda and Carlos Reutemann won at Watkins Glen in 1975 and 1978, while Clay Regazzoni and Gilles Villeneuve triumphed at Long Beach in 1976 and 1979.

In those times, in addition to the iconic red, Ferrari’s cars featured a lot of white on their bodywork, a style the Scuderia has decided to revisit for the return to Las Vegas. The SF-23’s livery has been modified: both the wings and some details of the car will be painted white, alongside the traditional red that has always distinguished Maranello’s single-seaters. The black accents that were present on some parts of the car’s sidepods have also been replaced in favor of this new white shade. This new color scheme will not be limited to the car but will also extend to the drivers’ suits. The crucial role of the partners should also be noted, as they agreed to modify their colors to align with the project.
