Tuesday 3rd January is Michael Schumacher‘s 48th birthday. The seven-time Formula One world champion, who is in a coma after suffering a horrific crash while skiing in the French Alps, has not given up on life and the millions of fans around the world continue to believe in the recovery of the Scuderia Ferrari legend.
Three years have now passed since the German was left fighting for his life following the terrible accident, as official updates regarding Michael’s recovery have been very scarce in the following months and years. Sabine Kehm, Schumacher’s manager, said before Christmas that there are no plans to release a statement with an update on the seven-time Formula One world champion’s state of health: “Michael’s health is not a public issue, and so we will continue to make no comment in that regard,” Kehm said, as reported by Eurosport – “We have to protect his intimate sphere. Legally seen and in the longer term, every statement related to his health would diminish the extent of his intimate sphere.”
The Schumacher family – his wife Corinna, daughter Gina-Maria (a competitive equestrian rider) and son Mick – launched the “Keep Fighting” initiative before Christmas with the aim of bringing together those inspired by the legendary Scuderia Ferrari driver.
Get well soon, Michael!
