Frederic Vasseur commented on the case involving Christian Horner in recent days, also addressing the possibility of attracting technicians from Red Bull. Despite the spotlight being largely on the launch of the new SF-24, presented this morning via live streaming, Frederic Vasseur also touched upon the issue that has been sparking discussions throughout Formula 1 in recent days, namely the Christian Horner case. It is a complex situation that could have consequences beyond the confines of Milton Keynes.
Recently, strong rumors have resurfaced regarding the possibility of seeing key technicians from the Milton Keynes team at Maranello in the near future, notably Technical Director Pierre Wachè and Adrian Newey, who have played a significant role in Red Bull’s remarkable dominance in recent years.
However, when questioned by the Italian media during the media press conference this afternoon, the French manager chose to remain vague, avoiding direct statements: “I will never make any comments on this story. I will never develop anything about this kind of situation.” – he pointed out.
“We are recruiting (personnel). We were recruiting before, and we will continue to do so even after, but this has nothing to do with the current situation at Red Bull.” – the Ferrari boss added.
Speaking about the expectations for the upcoming season and the new project, Fred Vasseur commented: “It’s too early to have a clear picture of the performance. We did five laps, which went well, but we will have a better picture in Bahrain. We have reaped the benefits of the end of last season, working on weaknesses, designing a car that is easier to drive, and making good progress.”

“The car is 99% new. We have worked a lot and made good progress. The initial feedback from the drivers has been very positive both in the simulator and during today’s shakedown. We need to focus on ourselves, knowing where to work and develop the car.” – the Ferrari team principal concluded.
Ferrari will conduct the first real test tomorrow, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz taking turns behind the wheel of the SF24 at Fiorano for the first filming day of the season, now set at 200 km from this year.
