Formula 1 has strengthened its relationship with Las Vegas by officially announcing a contract extension that will keep the Nevada-based race on the calendar until 2037.
The previous agreement, which was due to expire in 2027, has now been renewed for an additional ten years. The move had been widely expected, given that Formula 1 itself serves as the promoter of the event, working in close partnership with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
Since making its debut on the Formula 1 calendar in 2023, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has generated an estimated cumulative economic impact of $3.2 billion for Southern Nevada. The event has also proven hugely popular with fans, with all three editions of the race held so far selling out completely.
Domenicali: “An extraordinary event for racing and entertainment”
Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali said: “We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue racing in Las Vegas for many years to come. Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, quickly establishing itself as a premier destination for great racing, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, top celebrities and influencers.
“It has delivered a strong and lasting impact on both the economy and the local community. We have always believed it would become a cornerstone of our presence in the United States, and this extension, together with the success achieved over the last few years, further strengthens our long-term commitment to this important market.
“I would like to thank the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Clark County and the LVCVA for their continued support, passion and vision. The future looks incredibly exciting, and we cannot wait to take this event to even greater heights.”
