IMOLA – Speeding through the curves of a Formula 1 track in a race car can sometimes be easier than squeezing into the tight spaces of a parking lot meant for regular cars. At least, that’s the impression given by Oliver Bearman, the 20-year-old British Haas driver, who had a small mishap outside the Imola racetrack where the Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna GP took place yesterday (May 18).
Oliver Bearman can’t park his Ferrari: the video goes viral
A scene of the young Haas driver struggling to park his grey Ferrari (a Portofino worth 230,000 euros) in the crowded parking lot of the circuit named after Enzo and Dino Ferrari went viral on the internet. Thousands of fans gathered during the weekend to admire the F1 cars up close and watch the race, won by world champion Max Verstappen in his Red Bull (with Lewis Hamilton’s Ferrari finishing fourth and Charles Leclerc’s sixth). Several maneuvers were needed for young Oliver Bearman to park his car, all captured in a video that quickly went viral on social media, where fans and F1 enthusiasts did not spare their irony about the situation.
