Las Vegas will not only be the stage for the Formula 1 Grand Prix but also for a unique golf tournament organized by Netflix, aptly named the Netflix Cup. Facing off will be four Formula 1 drivers against four professional PGA Tour golfers. The event will take place on an 18-hole golf course located on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, starting at midnight on November 15 in Italy.

As just mentioned, four F1 drivers will participate in the special event organized by Netflix: Among them are Alex Albon, Pierre Gasly, Lando Norris, and Carlos Sainz, all avid golf enthusiasts outside of competitions.

As for the PGA Tour golfers challenging the drivers, we have the former world number one and two-time Major winner, Justin Thomas, two-time Major champion Collin Morikawa, current world number seven Max Homa, and six-time PGA Tour winner Rickie Fowler.

“We love seeing how our sports series have grown in popularity in championships and sports competitions around the world,” said Gabe Spitzer, Vice President of Nonfiction Sports at Netflix.

“The Netflix Cup will take this energy to the next level with the global stars of two popular hits facing off in our first live sports event.”

“The continued success of Drive to Survive has played a significant role in the growth of Formula 1 in the United States, leading to the addition of a third American race,” added Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of the Las Vegas GP.

“It’s only fitting to kick off our weekend with a fun event that can be streamed by F1 and PGA TOUR fans worldwide.”

How will the tournament unfold? As mentioned earlier, participants will be divided into four pairs, each composed of a driver and a golf player. The match will be played over the best of eight holes, with the two top-performing pairs advancing to the ninth hole, competing for the first Netflix Cup title.

The pairs participating in the Netflix Cup:

– Lando Norris + Rickie Fowler
– Carlos Sainz + Justin Thomas
– Pierre Gasly + Collin Morikawa
– Alex Albon + Max Homa

Norris & Fowler
