The 2026 Formula 1 World Championship is just around the corner, and here is the official list of F1 drivers along with their respective race numbers for the upcoming season.
Which race numbers will Formula 1 drivers use in the 2026 World Championship? Next season will mark a major reset with the introduction of the new technical regulations, a change that is expected to reshuffle the competitive order among the different power unit manufacturers, with controversies already emerging well ahead of the first race.
It will also be a year of significant changes on the grid. Audi officially takes over from Sauber, while Cadillac enters Formula 1 for the first time, bringing Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas back into the Circus.
There will no longer be just ten teams on the grid, as the total will rise to twelve. In addition, some drivers will change their race numbers: Lando Norris begins the 2026 season as the reigning world champion and has decided to give up his long-standing number 4 in favour of a new one. As a consequence, Max Verstappen will also adopt a different race number. The grid will also welcome a new debutant, 18-year-old Arvid Lindblad.
