The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile has officially announced earlier today that there will be six power unit suppliers in Formula 1 from the 2026 championship.
The information comes after the offiicial confirmation that Ford will be joining Red Bull as technical partners, while Honda also intends to continue its involvement in the sport.
The six suppliers for the 2026-2030 power unit cycle are the following:
Ferrari S.p.A.
Alpine Racing
Audi
Honda Racing Corporation
Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains Ltd.
Red Bull Ford
The governing body informed that these will be responsible for providing the following generation of Formula 1 engines which will be introduced in 2026 based on the new FIA Formula 1 Sporting and Technical Power Unit rules and regulations.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem pointed out that the confirmation of six power unit suppliers is the key aspect that justified the future plans in terms of PU technical regulations, which will come into effect in 2026.
