Miami GP weather alert: FIA calls emergency meeting
Weather conditions are becoming a major concern ahead of Sunday at the Miami Grand Prix. During the official press conference, among the various topics discussed, Sergio Perez admitted that there is a growing sense of concern throughout the paddock. The issue is not limited to the increasing probability of rain, but also to the potentially high number of lightning strikes expected in the vicinity of the circuit.
“Tonight the FIA will meet with us drivers to evaluate the different scenarios. The weather situation is not pleasant at all, I don’t know what will happen, but it is right to assess all the possible options that can guarantee our safety while racing,” the Mexican driver explained.
This weekend in Miami features the second Sprint format event of the season, which further complicates the situation. It remains unclear whether the Federation will decide to implement extraordinary measures, such as bringing the race forward, or proceed with enhanced safety protocols depending on how conditions evolve.
The ScuderiaFans.com editorial team will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as more information becomes available throughout the weekend.
