However, the main goal this year will be to maintain a strong race pace. This doubt became a certainty during the races when Max Verstappen managed to overtake the Ferrari cars with relative ease. Unlike in recent years, there is no clear favorite for victory in the Italian Grand Prix. This is because even Red Bull, shaken by their defeat to McLaren at Zandvoort, could be competitive.

The same goes for the Woking team and the resurgent Mercedes. Ultimately, while in the last two years the worst-case scenario was finishing behind only Red Bull, this year, many smaller factors could determine the final result. Ferrari has taken a big gamble, choosing to put everything on the line at Monza. It remains to be seen if the Maranello team can maximize the weekend, avoid mistakes, and achieve their goal: to triumph in front of their home crowd.
