Ferrari continues its revolution with a key leadership change
Ferrari’s ongoing transformation has reached another crucial milestone. The Maranello-based company, already undergoing significant changes both in Formula 1 and in its corporate divisions, has announced a major leadership appointment that will shape its future communications strategy.
The Italian manufacturer is currently experiencing a period of evolution that extends beyond motorsport. The upcoming debut of Ferrari’s first fully electric car has also had an impact on the company’s financial dynamics. Although investors had hoped for different short-term results, the recent market fluctuations did not come as a surprise to CEO Benedetto Vigna and Chairman John Elkann. Now, the transformation continues with a change in the communications department, where a new leader is set to take charge.
Maria Conti joins Ferrari as Chief Communication Officer
Ferrari’s official statement confirmed the news: “Ferrari today announces the appointment of Maria Conti as Chief Communication Officer, who will report directly to CEO Benedetto Vigna. Maria Conti will also join the Ferrari Leadership Team. Maria brings twenty years of experience in the automotive and luxury sectors, having led international teams across communications, events, brand management, and motorsport for iconic names such as Maserati, Alfa Romeo, BMW, and MINI.”
The statement continued: “In her most recent role as Head of Maserati Corse, Maria led the development of the brand’s Motorsport business, overseeing commercial, branding, and communication strategies on a global scale. Previously, as Chief Communication Officer at Maserati, she defined and implemented the company’s global communications strategy, covering product, lifestyle, racing, and events.”
With this appointment, Ferrari welcomes a leader with international experience to strengthen its global communication strategy and reinforce the brand’s position at the top of the luxury and motorsport industries.
Benedetto Vigna and Maria Conti comment on the appointment
Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition, highlighting the importance of communication in the modern era. “With her insight and strategic awareness, Maria will further enhance Ferrari’s ability to convey the unique qualities that define our brand,” Vigna said, underlining how communication is a key pillar in Ferrari’s current growth phase.
For her part, Maria Conti expressed pride and gratitude for joining one of the world’s most prestigious brands: “Joining Ferrari is both an honor and a great responsibility. Ferrari represents excellence, passion, and the pursuit of progress. The brand’s uniqueness is reflected in its communication, and together, we will continue to share Ferrari’s distinctive spirit with passion and vision.”
