Ferrari returns to winning in Formula 1, at the Monza circuit, and does so with an updated SF-24 single-seater. Besides the new floor, deeply modified to solve the bouncing issues highlighted since Spain, another custom-made detail helped the Prancing Horse. The Monza Grand Prix marks the beginning of a revival for Ferrari. The rumored objective at the start of the 2024 Formula 1 championship spoke of five victories: with the Italian one, the Prancing Horse rises to three. The upcoming races in Azerbaijan and Singapore could be hunting grounds to increase the Red tally and get closer to the hoped-for goal in March. The good mood has returned to the factory, and the developments seem to be working.

A detail that did not escape the eye of F1 experts and insiders is the rear wing used at Monza. Specifically designed for the Temple of Speed, it turned out to be very different from the 2023 counterpart: single-pillar structure, with modifications to the mainplane and the upper flap, and featured an interesting innovation in the area where the endplate and mainplane connect.

The imperative is aerodynamic efficiency and, consequently, the car’s maximum speed: “We had excellent top speed, and that certainly helps on a track like this – confirmed Charles Leclerc – It helped us win today because the characteristics were good, and the car’s balance also proved to be quite positive with that wing.” – the Monegasque driver.

“All in all, from FP1, we didn’t change the car much – Charles Leclerc continued – I had great feelings with the car. In qualifying, we struggled a bit with the tires, but in the race, we were in an excellent position. So, yes, the whole package was strong this weekend.” – the Ferrari driver concluded at the end of the Italian Grand Prix.
