Ferrari will return to the track for further Pirelli tests regarding the 2026 tyres; the first official dates and other information have emerged.
The Maranello team, in addition to developing the SF-25, must also think about the major regulatory changes coming in 2026: Ferrari will in fact be back on track for tests with the new Pirelli tyres — here are the official dates.
The Prancing Horse continues the season without yet abandoning the SF-25 project. An evolved rear suspension is on its way, expected to debut at Silverstone along with an upgrade package. The initial goals are clearly out of reach now, but giving up would be damaging even with next year in mind. The technical team must in fact focus on 2026 and try to get the most out of it, particularly with regard to mechanical aspects. We know that the engine, together with fuel, will be a crucial element in staying competitive. However, the importance of tyres should not be underestimated. Here are the official dates for Ferrari’s tests.
June 19 and 20 at Fiorano, then more tests in Hungary
“The next development test for 2026 will take place on June 19 and 20 at the Fiorano track where, over the course of two days, Ferrari will test wet-weather prototype tyres.” This is the statement found in the official press release issued by Pirelli Motorsport. The Italian company has already conducted further tests with Mercedes and Red Bull at the Barcelona circuit following the Spanish Grand Prix. The Maranello team will use the artificial irrigation system available at the track in order to replicate wet conditions. The car used will, of course, be the SF-25.
Furthermore, according to the Italian media, the Prancing Horse is expected to carry out more tests after the Hungarian GP, and on the same track. Presumably on August 4 and 5, the Scuderia will be back on track once again, this time to test the 2026 dry-weather tyres. For now, no further details are available, but we know how valuable the role of Loic Serra — current Technical Director and an expert in tyre-suspension dynamics — could be in helping Ferrari finally understand the tyres so they can be used in the best possible way.
