Home » Ferrari to bring first aerodynamic upgrades in Imola

Ferrari to bring first aerodynamic upgrades in Imola. Ferrari to bring aero upgrades in Imola.

In this middle week between the first round of the 2021 Formula One season, the Bahrain Grand Prix, and the approach to the Imola weekend, which will host the second event of the championship, all the factories will focus on improving the package available for this year. Several teams will bring minor or major upgrades, which are small or large upgrades capable of starting to increase the performance curve of the cars, especially after having had some initial responses on track in racing conditions.

While the Sakhir circuit is always representative in terms of power and traction, the Imola represents a rather different test location.

From the information gathered by formu1a.uno, Ferrari will bring some aerodynamic updates that will be tested in the simulator this week by Charles Leclerc, while Carlos Sainz has worked more on perfecting what could be improved in Bahrain at the level of setup ‘in hindsight’, which means in race conditions encountered in the first grand prix of the season.

A continuous work for the guys from Maranello to find good data available that will be useful in the championship when Ferrari will encounter similar types of circuits which are strongly rear limited.
