Ferrari’s victory at Silverstone has had an impact that extends far beyond the points scored on track. According to information obtained and also documented through the Scuderia’s official social media channels, the Ferrari Racing Department gathered today for a meeting with Technical Director Loïc Serra and Head of Power Unit Enrico Gualtieri to review the work completed so far and deliver a clear message to the entire workforce.
The meeting is understood to have carried a strong motivational message. The success achieved at the British Grand Prix was presented as confirmation that Ferrari’s current technical direction is the right one and that the work carried out over recent months is beginning to produce tangible results. That commitment is already continuing with full determination as the team prepares the next 679 project, which will be an evolution of the current SF-26.
Employees were encouraged to continue believing in the fight and to keep the pressure on Ferrari’s rivals, without viewing the Silverstone result as the final destination. Instead, the victory has been positioned as another important step in the team’s long-term development journey.
Loïc Serra is understood to have reiterated that the SF-26 development programme is progressing in line with expectations. The upgrades introduced so far have delivered encouraging feedback, and the car’s evolution plan will continue with the same level of commitment over the coming Grands Prix. There is no intention at Maranello to slow down the pace of development, with every remaining opportunity for performance gains set to be exploited in order to further improve the competitiveness of the car.
On the power unit side, Enrico Gualtieri reportedly updated the workforce on the progress of the ADUO project. According to the information shared during the meeting, the development slot allocated for the introduction of the new turbocharger, which forms part of the ADUO 2 package, should become available within the next five Grands Prix, with Ferrari aiming to have the new specification ready in time for the Madrid Grand Prix, as reported by the Italian website Autoracer.it.
This upgrade represents one of the most significant engine developments planned by Ferrari. The new turbocharger has been designed to improve the overall efficiency of the power unit while continuing the performance recovery made possible by the FIA regulations, which still allow limited development opportunities under the current engine framework.
At the same time, Ferrari’s engine department is already looking beyond the current season. During the meeting, it was reportedly confirmed that bench development work has already begun on the future ADUO power unit planned for the 2027 Formula 1 season, highlighting how the Scuderia is simultaneously pushing forward with development for the current campaign while also preparing the next generation of Ferrari power units.
The message that emerged from the meeting was unmistakable: Silverstone has strengthened Ferrari’s internal belief that the team is heading in the right direction. The objective now is to keep pushing forward, development after development and race after race, while maintaining the conviction that Ferrari can remain firmly in the fight throughout the second half of the Formula 1 season.
