In the 2025 Formula 1 prize money rankings, Ferrari has outshone all other teams, thanks to a historic bonus and consistent results over the last decade.
Ferrari leads in earnings
According to the 2025 report from Liberty Media, total annual F1 revenue reached $3.87 billion. About 45% of this is distributed to teams in the form of prize money, based on the previous season’s results and additional bonuses for teams finishing in the top three over the past ten years. Ferrari also receives a historic 5% bonus for its uninterrupted participation in every World Championship since 1950. While the exact payments are confidential between FOM and the teams, PlanetF1 has estimated the distribution of the $1.4 billion allocated to the teams.
At the top, Ferrari is estimated to have received $277.7 million, with over half coming from the historic bonus and decade-long constructor placements. By contrast, 2025 World Champion McLaren ranks only fourth, earning $147.1 million from last year’s success (14% of the total) and an additional $18.7 million from top-three finishes over the past decade.
