Collectible Ferrari driver helmets arrive May 1st
A few days after the launch of the Michael Schumacher F2004 set, available in stores and online since March 1st, Lego has revealed two more products, once again connected to the world of Formula 1 and, specifically, Ferrari. Ahead of the 2026 season-opening Australian Grand Prix, the Danish company announced the creation of collectible helmets for Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, both part of the Lego Editions series.
Unveiled in Melbourne, where the drivers saw life-size versions of their helmets made from over 3,500 Lego bricks, the designs are inspired by last season’s liveries. Collectors will have to assemble nearly 900 bricks for each model. The finished product will measure 14 cm in height, 13 cm in width, and 11 cm in depth, priced at €89.99. Both sets will be available starting May 1st.
Designer insight: a passion project for F1 fans
“As a fan of this sport, I am delighted to reveal these two sets that will soon be available to all supporters and enthusiasts,” said John Ho, Model Design Master at the LEGO Group. “It has been a real pleasure to work on these new products with a team of passionate and highly talented designers. The unique curves and intricate details of the helmets represented a fascinating challenge, and our team worked with great dedication to ensure every aspect was faithfully reproduced. Seeing them come to life in a new dimension, in Melbourne, in the hands of two of the best drivers in the world, is a proud moment for the entire team.”
The launch of these LEGO Ferrari helmet sets serves as a perfect celebration of the sport’s global cultural impact. While Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton prepare to battle for supremacy on the streets of Melbourne, fans can now look forward to commemorating this historic pairing through one of the world’s most iconic hobbies.
